CWebb, and not close. Amare for the most part, was just a high flyer. And his best years don't even compete with Webb's best stretch. Webber was far more skilled. But there's also a 10 yr difference, and the game drastically changed from when Webber player to when Amare was playing.

You can possibly say that Amare could've grown more outside of Nash/Suns, when he was primarily used as a roller, finisher. But you could also point to how Webber didn't have knees since '98, and Kings hindered his impact with the spread-around ball. But Webber was still better.

Amare was probably more unstoppable than CWebb, but Webber was better in almost every other facet of the game as far as playmaking, rebounding and defense. It’s not as if Webber couldn’t score. His highest scoring season was higher than Stoudemire’s. Amare knew where his bread was buttered and stayed in the paint for the most part. Webber settled for too many jumpers, which is why his FG% is below 50% for his career, and even multiple sub 50 FG% during his prime.

The kings offense increased his impact. That Princeton offense was perfect for his bball iq and passing. CWebb would feast in this era of 3 point shooting

Perfectly summed up. Amare was a more explosive scorer and that was it. Webber just had a better all around game was a matchup nightmare who teams could legitimately run an offense around. Webber is one of those careers I wish we could've seen redone.

Webber. Better passer and rebounder and overall feel for the game. For me if you don't finish in the top 5 for mvp voting, I can't vote for you. Loved watching Amare though. Great first step, crazy athleticism. Even surprised me in New york when he stepped away from Nash.

Webber. He looked like a legit franchise player for couple years before injuries took over. Good all around game.

Both were robbed of a finals appearance. Only difference is that Amare could have kept his cool and not fall for cheap shot Rob tricks. Amare was known for disappointing in the playoffs by either getting injured or doing some stupid shyt, like when he punched the fire extinguisher in Miami series. He had a monstrous run in 05, he looked almost as great in 07 and then after that series suspension he never came back to that level again.

Amare won ROY over Yao playing with Marbury.

The ROY was a toss up. I think it was Yao’s slow start (I remember the bet Barkley made when he said that he wouldn’t score 20). But they averaged the same amount of points. Amare averaged slightly more rebounds and steals. Yao averaged slightly more assists and blocks and he shot a higher % from the field and FT line. Suns only won one more game than the Rockets also. I think Amare won because he had bigger moments. His season high in points and rebounds were 38 and 21 whereas Yao’s was 30 and 19.

I just posted that to point out Amare had success before Nash got there. That's why I said he won ROY playing with Marbury.
