I got Chris Rock just BARELY edging Chappelle, but that's just how you caught me today

I also have have Martin a distant 3rd to them. They're a different level to me.

Chris Rock has given me the most moments but I don't think anyone has just straight up made me laugh out loud out of these 3 as much as Dave has. Since you said "funniest" I voted for him. Chris Rock gave me that philosopher kind of vibe that you got from George Carlin and people like that. And Dave is clearly a deep thinker too, and in more recent specials has dropped some jewels in there. But prime Dave just makes me laugh more than any other comic ever. And Martin obviously has classic specials but I think Dave and Chris are a slight notch above him in terms of pure stand-up.

Though Rock has always given off certain vibes...it's no comparison between him onstage against Chappelle, who imo is way over-rated at stand-up. Martin Lawrence is a close 2nd.

Martin SHOULD get the nod but while I'd say his peak and Dave's are more comparable, Martin's was much shorter lived.

Martin > Chappelle's Show > Chris Rock show.

And Rock knows what time it is, he's brilliant but he recognizes that he's not the most inherently funny person or talented comic.

He's funny enough and smart enough to set up the jokes while also saying some real shyt. Prime example of that would be Bill Hicks, who I love listening to, yet he doesn't make me laugh that much, I kinda see Rock in that same light to a lesser extent.

Martin is the best comedic actor out of all 3 and has classic movies along with his classic TV show.

Dave had the funniest show tho.

Rock was never the funniest cat to me and his movies are mediocre IMO, he just can't act well. Dave is a decent actor but not on Martin's level either.
