Jericho was the first dude to regularly put hands on a chick in actual matches/promos. Cause Jericho/Chyna was the breakout intergender feud.
Before that dudes was going at chicks that were vallets or on the divas circut... but Chyna/Jericho were feuding for the intercontinental belt.

But GOAT was Andy Kaufman.

Way back in 1978 Andy Kaufman began wrestling women on talk shows, calling himself the Inter-gender Wrestling Champion.

Andy would offer prizes ($1000 for example) to any woman who could beat him in the ring, but none could pin his shoulder.

Right, but they were valets. Macho Man wasn't having matches against them.

Kaufman/Jericho was having feuds and matches, not just bumping valets during high spots ala the Dudleys/Macho Man.
