TNA's current World Champion is black. Same for ROH. The biggest myth here is that most of us only watch WWE. In fact, the people who only watch WWE are a small minority in this section.

It's so obvious too, the reason why the AE was so great was because every color was represented. It's not a coincidence that the ratings started to fall when they became more white. Man i been watching the 97 Raws on the network lately and i'm on the Farooq vs Taker storyline and its insane that 20 years later there still hasn't been a black WWE champ.
Represented terribly. All the black people were NOI militants. All the Puerto Ricans wore zoot suits and danced. The Japanese were constantly emasculated and made fun of for not speaking English and having tiny dikks.
I'm pretty positive that ratings didn't drop because the Nation and Los Boricuas fell apart.

It was terrible because they were portrayed as nothing but angry black men who bytched and lost all the time. It was not a great representation.
"Here is this group of black men. You are supposed to hate them because they're black and angry and play the race card every week." Outside of Faarooq, they weren't even portrayed as great athletes. Just angry stooges. All of the minorities were nothing but bad stereotypes during the Attitude Era. I can't believe anyone would think any minority was represented well during that time. Or after. Or before.
