Mike and Mike is the most garbage, vanilla, dumbed down piece of shyt show on the radio. Neither of them offer much substance, although I don't blame them personally I think their show is produced that way purposely to attract the largest audience as possible. "Never underestimate the stupidity of the American public"
That being said, I only listen to ESPN Radio and Mad Dog Radio so I still listen to Mike and Mike since Evan and Phillips on Mad Dog isn't really any better and there is nothing else for my commute. I treat it more as a "Sportscenter" than a sports talk radio show.
at people hating on Colin Cowherd. Sure, his analogies are retarded and he might have some opinions you don't agree with, but at least he HAS opinions. If I just want people reporting on sports stories and saying the same thing everyone else is saying I don't need to waste an hour listening to the radio. Cowherd has opinions and he has strong opinions and he loves the NBA and he hates baseball, that is enough for me.
I am just as likely to listen to Schein on Sports as Cowherd in that timeslot though, Adam Schein does a good job with strong opinions like Cowherd and is less annoying about certain topics.
As far as national satellite radio goes, it doesn't get better than Bill Lekas in my opinion, and unfortunately Mad Dog just basically wiped him off the channel. I also like Tom Byrne a lot who Mad Dog wiped out as well. They added a timeslot of Dan Patrick
like you can't get Patrick already everywhere.
In the afternoon I fukk with Coach and Company but I think that Coach was much better when he was paired with Freddie Coleman on the weekend. The daytime show is a bit too over-produced like most ESPN shows, it sticks to too much of a script.
