Actually, something will happen, I can just about guarantee you that something will happen, because this is the NFL, where receivers get cracked for going over the middle all the time...

Now, is someone going to do something stupid like the very first preseason play that Rile E Coyooper is on the field someone just tries to go and drill him? No, because that is just flagrant and nobody would be dumb enough to do that , although this is the NFL and out of all the major sports they easily have the athletes who do the dumbest things...

Now is someone going to do something in week 1 of the regular season...probably not, again, to noticeable...

But after say week 5 or 6...where there are already about 5 receivers injured and maybe 3 fines handed out for helmet to helmet collisions...it will be so easy for Rile E to get lost in the shuffle...it would be so easy for a player to say "man i was just doing my job"...

Again, this is the NFL...and Rile E Coyooper is a reciever...defenders are already getting paid to lay dude out in the first place...and you think they not going to take a shot at him...

And Goodell can't do anything until AFTER somebody takes a shot at Riley...he can't create a "don't hit Riley Cooper rule"...

And it's not even just the head hunting hits that Riley has to worry about...It's the WR bubble screen to Desean and Riley is supposed to block the blitzing safety...yeah good luck with that...

Imagine a ball is fumbled around him...anybody who's played football will tell you that the grimiest place on earth is at the bottom of a pile when a ball is fumbled...imagine Riley at the bottom of that pile...Yuck
