As a rookie, leading everybody in a playoff game with a game high 26 points while getting 10 rebounds but no, he's not a catalyst :ohword:
26 points on 26 shots. Scoring the majority of his points, posting up a 6 ft 2 PG, because the Spurs were willing to live with him getting off shots, rather than Curry or Klay. You put MKG on that team and he would be capable of the same impact, if not more.
He IS a catalyst whether your contrarian logic likes it or not. He can create his own shot, he is aggressive, and he's a balanced player. Downside? He overshoots sometimes and he's not the brighest, but so what? He's a rookie.
A catalyst in what though? You're acting as if he's some great offensive threat. HE'S STILL A COMPLIMENTARY PLAYER. He was the fourth option all year long in the starting lineup and that was only because there was a revolving door at the 5. If Bogut was healthy the entire season, Barnes would've be relegated to being the last option in the starting lineup.
The fact he's a third/fourth option on the Warriors is a testament to their depth NOT because Barnes is bad option.
If he was on the Bobcats he'd have way more of an impact than MKG let be real here
:nikkawhat:
When did I say he was a bad option?
Nah, he wouldn't have more impact. I watched them both this season, and the only area that Barnes would trump him in is stretching the floor (shooting and at a minor - scoring). Passing, crashing the boards, shutting down perimeter players, in transition, playing the passing lanes, help defense, slashing, tying up loose ends on both sides of the court - MKG had more of an impact.
at caping for Monta, D-Blows, AND Michael Kant-Shoot-For-shyt

this man. He is a matchup problem give him credit he's a ROOKIE and led the team in scoring and rebounding last night in game 4 of the western semi PLAYOFFS
now his shooting percentage is another topic
just like russel scores against players who are shorter or not quicker than him if you have an advantage you use it
night in and night out he's probably gonna be either taller or quicker than the guy that's guarding him
and they intentionally let him get 26 and 10 a rookie
but you got it breh I'm pretty sure that pop is like guys let the rookie post up parker or drive on manu. The point is that the kid has a bright future and is showing it on the most crucial stage against a pretty good team.
