Now, Black women do get called out for dating outside the race. Hell, just finding a non-black man attractive can get black women into trouble. Black women don't get called out for "self-hate" as often as they get called out for "sellling out". Meaning, a black woman is free to hate herself and her blackness as much as she wants as long as she keeps supporting the black community and black men. Big Mama can screw her kids up with "light is right" mentality and play favorites amongst skin color but as long as she gives freely of her money, time, effort and supports her husband/son/grandson/nephew no matter what she's cool. However, the black woman who loves her blackness yet turns an abusive lover over to the police is usually called a sell-out for "putting yet another black man in the white man's prison system". It's different rules for us.

Black means African descended, Mexicans and Indians are not descended from Africans and are obviously not black people. There are a lot of black Puerto Ricans and most Puerto Ricans have partial black ancestry, but the average Puerto Rican does not have enough black ancestry or look black enough to be considered black.Just who decided Hispanics, puerto ricans, Mexicans aren't "black"? Along with Indians, Haitians, etc.... You never hear a white person say thw Irish arent white, or British, or French or Russian, Italians if their pale they all in it together. Who labeled and disenfranchised us? And why would we continue to subscribe to it?
Although I don't think the Latina knew what the black lady was saying, you can't demean an entire group of men to a sexual object. You can but its off putting. But I think the Latina was coming from a sincere place she appreciates the masculinity the integrity and soul of us strong black men.

Not all women are looking for a man with money. Some people fall in love for depth of personality, mutual interests and just all around who a person is.
The reason love doesn't last is because people objectify/fetishize a person instead of actually loving them.
