She lost by playing on racial issues in order to get attention. Her post was a thirst trap solely designed to get black men to give her praise. At no point does she name the positive attributes of black men that inspires her appreciation nor does she even compliment them, really. She also threw shade at black women by implying that hispanic women appreciate black men and black women don't.

If a black woman said "black women appreciate black men" you could run this same "well she don't speak for all black women" shyt because there's certainly black women who don't appreciate black men. I don't give a fukk about Latinas, I was just pointing out that it's not a race. If Latina isn't a race and she's in fact a mixed race person with black heritage then it's not even really a race issue. Which is why I said that both women "lost". Based solely off this conversation I don't think the latina chick really meant anything by it. I feel like people throw the word "fetishizing" around that its just become a meaningless buzzword at this point like. Saying you're attracted to black men doesn't mean you're fetishizing them (it just means you have good taste *sips tea*)

On the other side, she could've been using this tweet to throw some subtle shade at black women, (implying that we DONT appreciate black men) that blvckbeans could've picked up on, but like I said I don't care enough to snoop.

Nothing wrong with preferring a certain race, because phenotype differs between most races enough to warrant a preference in the first place. I feel like the term "fetishizing" implies some sort of objectification and attraction due to stereotyping; like someone liking black men because they assume all black men have large privates, or liking black women because someone thinks they're better in bed, and there's not enough in her tweet to derive something like that.
