Neck ties and boxing gloves.
It's a popular misconception that Cubed jumped on the East Vs. West thing. For one thing, this song was on Mack 10's first album and it was released on June, 10th 1995. If this wasn't a declaration of war, I don't know what is.

All Eyez on Me was released on February 13, 1996 and Bow Down was released on October 22, 1996. It's not like Cube and em heard Hit Em in February and proceeded to record, promote, market and drop an album less than 6 months after.

As far as Snoop, he had just beat a murder trial, he didn't have time for Pac's nonsense. Snoop understood consequences of reckless behavior better than Pac did - maybe Pac didn't care about consequences at all - Snoop didn't want any parts of East Vs West beef after just beating a murder case that would have put him behind bars for 25 years.

I've heard this before. This is from Pac's perspective. Like I said earlier, all you have to do is listen to Westside Slaughterhouse which came out a year before AEOM. They were already standing up for the West Coast when Pac was in Jail at the time. Bow Down was a continuation of the thoughts and themes from the West Side Slaughterhouse

It still was heading towards beef which was the premise of this thread.

Curious, why do people say that Ice Cube isn't a gangster? Not trying to glorify it, just curious as to why his street credibility is always inauthentic or questioned.

Cube.

Pac was too hyper, dumb and reckless and lacked control. would more than likely make a mistake as he has shown in his other beefs hes a reckless fool that gets innocent people killed cause of his paranoia.

people like you need to stop talking

it's better to remain silent and thought to be dumb, then open your mouth and erase all doubt

ehh, cube was on the downside at this time. pac wouldve won that in '96.

wouldve still been a good one tho.

but the better question is who would win between prime cube & prime pac.

This I didn't get . . he got mad at Snoop for not jumping on the east vs. west thing . . so why not team up with Cube?

because it wasnt an east/west thing on pac's part. pac was going at bad boy and anybody else that had somethin to say.

pac & cube didnt have common enemies, so it made no sense for them to team up. and whether right or wrong, pac felt like cube was just escalating chit that pac was at the center of.

cube was moreso riding against west coast bias, which he was already doing. pac was riding for that too, but he had bigger fish to fry.

pac was mad at snoop for throwing him under the bus and proppin up biggie.

I really wish people stopped acting like Common and Cube released full diss records to each other and Common won.

Cube sent 1 shot at Common, and Common made a full 4 minute diss record and squashed the beef before Cube responded.

Knock it off

This is like saying 2Pac got killed by King Sun, even though Pac never made a full diss record to him. Use logic.
