WOW even his worst album had a few gems?

try being a Blu stan breh...his worst albums have some of the greatest songs ever recorded on em.

Only had like 4 or 5 elite Nas type verses on the whole album. Album was wack for Nas standards & mediocre for rap in general

I never bought into the narrative that this album was trash like that , Nas just suffers from the gift & curse of being held to a higher standard , if anybody else released that album it would have been considered a 3.5 mic album .

I skimmed it over the weekend putting together a playlist.

It's incredible how bad this and I Am are.

They sound even worse today.

I was hype for this album to drop even though I thought I Am was sub par.

I thought it was trash on 1st listen, then tried to make myself like it over time but couldn't.

Talking to other folks confirmed my belief.

I've never met one person in real life who liked this album.

I kinda feel though had I am come out as a double album, no bootleg, with the Lost Tapes stuff and no need to make Nastradamus, it would still get criticised. There's no way to know for sure how the final product would have been cause there's a lot of bootleg versions but I kinda feel like people would still complain about not enough Primo, no Pete Rock, the double album bloat and the tracks sounding like they were taken from different albums.

I like about 3 somgs, Life we chose, nastradamus, project windows.

I listen to the title track almost everyday.

I actually bump that album more than anything after gods son but thats just me

It wasnt as bad as ppl say but for nas standards it was too too popish but i still liked aleast a handful of the tracks.

too much save a hoe goin on in here lol

yea it has a track or two thats decent

shyt "come get me" is my fav track on there and easily the best song on the album

besides that not much there really "project windows" was ruined for me as i heard/had the original before hearing the album version and the original is so much better

having lived through the rollout and release of the album people were like yea nas is over when he dropped that shyt lol

to be fair people liked the cover of the album lol

also "you owe me" did get a lot of rotation

crazy thing about that song is its SO out of place on that album


but really 3.5 mics?

mind you 3 mics = "good worth checkin out"

3.5 = "dope"

2 mics = "needs help"

1 mic = wack

now to me 2 mics is REALLY fitting based on people on some "it had some gems"
