I hate to admit it, but if its anything but a boxing match Mike Tyson really has no chance.

If Brock gets hands on Tyson its over. Tyson is going for a ride and would never get back on his feet for the rest of the fight.

Tyson would have to basically knock Brock out in the first exchange. If Brock doesn't get clipped in those first 3 or 4 swings its a wrap.

Tyson.

In a fight with no rules...Brock rushing in...he might catch one in the back of the head or neck and die.

Imagine getting hit in the kidneys with no gloves?

Even in the short grapple imagine Mike hitting that cac with some uppercuts?

Mike was strong and fought low to the ground. He would get some shots in and fold Brock.

Toney/Couture and Kimbo/mercer, Mercer/Sylvia have no place in this discussion because at least one fighter in each situation was just collecting a check. Plus, this is a fight and not MMA rules anyway.

Spoken like a person that's never been within 10 feet of the mat.:mjlol: I've seen big ass football players get straight up handled by 170 pounders in High School. That's High School, breh. You dudes really have no idea.

I never wrestled but I fought one in high school that tried to take me down and couldn't. Dude wasn't close to elite but Mark Coleman and Kevin randleman were those elite type of wrestlers and couldn't take down Cro Cop in his roided up prime, and dude had no sort of wrestling background at all, just physical strength/great reflexes. I think Tyson could have been like Cro Cop in MMA, but with better striking.

See, that's how I know that you don't know what you're talking about. Cro Cop was known for great defensive wrestling, as in - take down defense. The fact that he had a nasty ass sprawl is one of the main reasons why he was successful, in the same exact vein as Chuck Liddell. You know what a sprawl is, right? That's a wrestling move. A move that he practiced and mastered.
So yes, in a sense, Cro Cop could wrestle. The point of the op was that both guys would have their own skillsets - no other training. Oh, and I bet you're lying about that fight you had, too.

A prime lesnar was in fukking WWE with no fight experience. He only had the success he did un MMA cuz his fights were tailor made....thats why he got exposed as soon as Dana stopped protecting him.

He was an all-american mat wrestler in college so that's a skill that his big azz can and would utilize. And like others have mentioned, by the time 2010 rolled around, he was battling that disease that could have had his azz :rip:

I think some of y'all forgetting that Tyson won't be the ONLY one throwing punches either. I'm rolling with Lesnar w/o thinking about it :yeshrug:

My point is take down defense seemed like a natural aptitude for Cro op and would probably be for Tyson too. There are a lot of strikers who transition into MMA who didn't have Cro Cop's takedown defense and it has nothing to do with amount of years Cro Cop trained. With Liddell, he was a college wrestler, so you could say that's where he got it from, but Cro Cop had far, far less wrestling experience than fighters trying to take him down but still was able to keep his fights standing. Cro Cop had this sprawl that stopped those elite wrestlers with a year or two of training? You're that confident that Cro Cop couldn't have stopped their shots a year or two before, when he was just a K1 fighter? I'm guessing with Tyson's strength/reflexes he'd be in a similar position.

I don't care what you believe, I didn't bring it up to brag, it was in response to you being condescending, like most cac MMA fanatics, with the "never been within 10 feet of a mat" line.

Because of Tyson's stature, Brock would have to get in on Tyson (read: Mike's strike zone) to take him down and all of that.

Now, while I think prime Brock would probably win (size, strength, grappling), if Mike touches him once, he's Coli-Smiley level #DEAD. So, I'll give Tyson more than a chance to whoop his ass.

Yes, I'm that confident that Cro Cop wouldn't have been able to stop those takedowns before he had wrestling training. He trained that sprawl - a lot. And which fighters transitioned into MMA with no grappling training exactly? Name fiv...fukk it - name one. I'm not being condescending - you just don't know what you're talking about whatsoever.
