Not only is Ryu faster, he dismembers and destroys his opponents quicker than Dante. Dante out there trying to get 100 hit combos while Ryu is done with demonic creatures in a few critical strikes.

How does Dante build meter to even be able to use his trigger?

He has to string combos together right? So if it's a 1 on 1 fight, how is he ever going to get a hold of Ryu to put a combo on him, let alone get enough hits in to get his Devil Trigger going? Plus... Dante likes fighting stylish which is overkill and unnecessary, he goes off and tries to do that shyt on Ryu, all the added movement and extra moves he would do for no reason would get countered quick.

That video posted actually explains why my points stand. Dante is all about flash, instead of just bodying the pawns, he wants to prolong the fight. Ryu would have killed them dudes and been through with the boss in half the time.

I don't know breh, ninja gaiden had faster action than dmc, at the same time I don't think speed is everything.

Kratos is slower than both dante and ryu but I'm sure he could easily dispose of both just off sheer strength.

Dante does fukk around a lot (cause he can), but not in DMC2. As fukking garbage as that game is, he's all business there. The final boss was looking like and when he got the 45 put to the left side of his head. Dante is crazy fast.

Ryu is the dude though. I need a new NG game.

Even if Ryu has the speed advantage it's not by as much as some of you are making it out to be. The power advantage Dante has is much bigger than Ryu's speed advantage
