My dude i grew up watching Ray one of my fav players back then but i dont think Klay get his respect cause of curry and green then added durant they just dismiss him i personally think get him on a team with good role players and he could do his thing and lead a team if he got a chance. Ray closest person i see to him thats why the comparison for me.

klay is ideal complementary piece to a franchise player, defense and offense. Look how many games he bailed curry out

Ray was the best player in that trio. Glen Robinson was soft as shyt. Ppl in Milwaukee hated him. His playoff performances were always underwhelming compared to his regular season.

I'd take a prime Ray Allen no doubt.

Ray was adequate(wouldn't call him a great ISO player) at creating his own shot & great at the catch & shoot.

Klay is barely decent at creating his own shot and great at the catch & shoot.

Adequate>>>>>Barely decent.......Plus Ray was more athletic.

I'm taking Ray.....I wouldn't call either a "1st option" player.

Think they're both great 2nd options...I think 1st option players should thrive at creating their own offense.

I'd take a less athletic guy like Paul Pierce over both these dudes.He was a beast at creating his own shot.

Klay plays with the greatest shooter off all time.The pressure Steph puts on a defense makes that Golden State system

unique.A fukking anomaly, really.Klay's more than likely a top 5 shooter all time, but he's more of a system player IMO.

Put him on a team like the Suns and I don't think he has the game to handle being the sole focus of a defense.

Where teams would make a concerted effort to just shut him down.Trapping/double/triple teaming him out on the perimeter.

That's why I when casuals compare Devin Booker to him.Their games are nothing alike IMO.Booker is closer in proximity to

Paul Pierce/James Harden than he is Klay Thompson.He thrives at the ISO game.I wanna say Klay could be this generations

Reggie Miller, but Reggie Miller was probably the GOAT at moving without the ball.He was exceptional in that regard.That's what

allowed Reggie to be more of a 1st option without necessarily being a great ISO player.Klay's fairly adept at moving/coming off screens

but I don't think he's anywhere near Reggie's level.In that Golden State system, with Steph by his side, he's devastating, tho.

Big Dogg's and ray Allen's ppgs were dead even in the RS.

Neither Jesus or Klay gonna lead you to a championship unless they are filling in for Rip on the 04 Pistons but i rather have Klay as a 2nd or 3rd option due to his defense.

Ya'll acting like Klay wasnt in charge of the warriors offense when Step got hurt a few years ago in the playoffs.
