I remember he use to always call Goldberg out too. But he was already booked as a mid card comedy act
They could had a good series of matches... hell Chris even got Hogan to back him up when he explain how much money the feud could generate :martin:but ol' Whisker Biscuit didn't want to follow along

I thought it was Hogan and crew who sabotaged him? He said that's the reason he left the following year

No he hadn't, he didn't win it until the next year. And there was no bigger upswing than him

I thought he won it earlier? Hmm ok yea that would have made sense. Even though he was old as dirt, everyone else in the mainevent scene was too. He was over as fukk and starrcade would have been a nice put over

The bigger travesty imo, is what they did with him following the streak. They basically didn't know how to use him in the aftermath of that tragedy of Nash beating him. He absolutely had to lose at some point as it's always been a winning formula for the top babyface to be in hot pursuit of the title rather then them always having the belt. They just went about having him lose the wrong way because of egos, and Goldberg never quite recovered in the aftermath of it.

You can really tell that Goldberg streak was pure accident and was able to capitalize on it. Once the streak was gone he was no longer important since Russo wanted to push Booker, Jarrett, Nash, David Arquette :francis:

He said in his book he had Hogan & Bischoff signed off on Goldberg but beating him on the next PPV but then bytchberg said "I have the next PPV off:birdman:" and he just ended up killing him on Nitro to end it :francis:

I remember Jericho saying he was willing to come down wearing shoes without laces so that Goldberg could literally spear him out his boots... would have been a cool visual for the build-up of that feud :stopitslime:too bad Goldberg was on that bullshyt

Yeah he could of had protected losses and MAYBE you could of got away with DDP barely beating him. But the way he loss and then the way they got the belt off of Nash were extremely stupid moves that is hard to believe was thought of for a two hour planning session yet alone a company directive. Just buck wild to me.

@Kevin_Nash deserved to end it, he was over as fukk. And @Scotch Hall with the stun gun was dope as hell. They did fukk it up with the Fingerpoke and having @Hollywood Hoegan's swaggerless ass rock that red and black. :scust:

Take a look at the crowd reaction and listen to the pop when I won the strap. The Fans, The Sheets, and The Streets all wanted me to be the one, that put the 1 in 173-1. And for those that don't like it..

Goldberg had to lose, you can't keep winning forever. Same shyt Warrior was in when he won the title, you hotshotted the dude to the moon, and after the belt you have no plans.

No, but you can keep winning until someone else that can prove they're better.

Nobody was close to being on Goldberg's level in 98, certainly not Nash.
