What's the story behind the Parks gimmick anyway?

Abyss lost his smile and disappeared. His lawyer brother Joseph showed up trying to find him. He got routinely beaten up by Bully Ray. Then he got kidnapped and beaten with a hammer by Aces & 8s. Then he decided he wanted to be a wrestler so he went to wrestling school. Now he is a goofy newbie wrestler.
