Yeah you are. You want democrats to disarm while the other side gets to run wild.
Hillary is against corporate money.
Obama is against it
Damn near most democrats are against it
but your ass isn't funding campaigns either
here's the problem. if you dont get off that corporate money. you will always be half compromised. thats just the way it goes. you have to pay back those that helped you out. and i aint even made at that idea. people are paying you to do them or to give them policies to benefit their lot in life. it is...what it is. But do not get upset when americans are saying enough is enough. there is away to go against that and to your point thats to have the people step in and fund these movements.
But here's a thing to think about. do you know why it costs so much for these campaigns?
Think about the main goal. Its purely for advertisement. the travelling and running your mouth, shaking hands, kissing babies, the attack adds, the non attack adds, the posters, the foot soldiers going door to door, the callers/robo callers, etc. all that costs money. but here's the thing, if you could some how restore the PEOPLE's faith in the system. You wont have to do all of this extra stuff to get them to vote. Does anyone understand this? The only reason i have to spend so much money to advertise is because the people of the USofA are super jaded when it comes to our politicians and our system of voting. If you can find away to scrub off more and more of that jaded mentality. you wont have to blow your budge to beg people to vote for you. they will start reading on their own. they will know what time of the year is election time locally, state wide, country wide, etc. they will know enough about most candidates where all you have to do is do a litlte advertisting on TV every now and then and on the internet. let me find your webpage and let me do my homework. then I'll choose to vote for you or someone else i feel has my best interest at heart.
You could push having people going to ballotpedia and sites like that to read up on these candidates. And educate on how to read up on them and the issues. vs trying to push the "vote for me vote for me, even if you're too lazy to know what i'm about..vote for me anyway." Naww. go get educated about me, then i hope you choose me. that would save a ton of money. and now you have the ability to depend on the people to raise enough money to do the lesser advertising that would be needed at that point.
