Once my ex tried to slap me, I protected myself by putting my forearm up, she hit it and hurt herself and accused ME of being violent 
Came in here for a discussion, instead it was 14 pages of @Napoleon PMSing overemotionally. this dude (my suspicions hes actually female) cant debate his viewpoints without getting hysterical and overheated.
my suggestion to you is, instead of trying to force feed your opinion down people's throats, try logging off the computer and learning to control your emotions, instead of throwing names around...

we are arguing 2 seperate points. YES a women should NEVER put her hands on a man. that goes without saying. i am NOT saying its OK for a woman to slap me because i am bigger and stronger. what i am saying is that once it DOES happen, and a woman puts her hands on u, it does not give u the green light to react like a MAN just hit u. YOU CANT JUST GO OFF AND BEAT THE shyt OUT OF THEM LIKE CHRIS BROWN, IKE TURNER, RAY RICE, ETC ETC. you as a man should never get out of control like that because a fukking woman slapped u. like that shyt even hurts
there should be consequences for their actions, im only speaking about restraint and control. somebody put up that video of the texas tech chick getting decked after she punched that guy. to me that was fine. she punched him, and in the moment he hit her back. he didnt go off and beat the snot out of her, even tho she is a big(probably lesbian) woman.
like i said, the consequences shouldnt be small, but ya acting like a woman slapping u is the same as a man punching u in the face.

I agree that men shouldn't go full ape shyt in a woman and start givin her the beats. But a simple slap back when a man is hit 1st isn't that bad. You keep on holding on to this whole notion of "women's hits/slaps don't really hurt" that's not the point. I've had grown men punch me and the punch didn't necessarily hurt me, but I still retaliated by hitting them back.
Fair enough. I base that off women who say "a real man this and a real man wouldnt that..." My response is a real woman wouldn't hit a man with no cause to start the shyt in first place.

Thats why so many people in here are arguing wrong angles then and sound ridiculous OP because Whoopi wasn't speaking "in general terms" she was speaking about women who admittedly attack the man first. Stephen A was speaking about women who attack men first which elicited Whoopi's response to defend him.
The whole "real man" and "real woman" labels are bullshyt. Just don't be an a$$hole who resorts to violence regardless of gender. Period.

once physical assualt has occured the results are unpredictable. Thats why its best for both parties to keep hands to themselves.
even for the clowns saying men shouldnt hit back if attacked. Their probably the same ones who think police should aim for the legs or arms if they gotta use their weapon. The real world doesnt work like that. Once the line is crossed to where an assualt is happenig all bets are off. even restraining a woman battering you can result in you injuring her if she continues to fight.. plus just restraining someone can still get you charged with assualt. Holding someone fighting you can turn into a body slam real quick.
