lets settle this shyt....i've been a fan of the 95 South version since day 1...and I always thought it was the original and EXTREMELY BETTER version of the song.....but the tag team version seemed to get more love for whatever reason?....which is your fav??

Both have the same catchy hooks. But the Tag Team song has more universal appeal. The lyrics and hook are not directly about ass and booty which can allow the hook to be applied to different shyt like sports highlights, commercials etc.

Whoot was targeted at a specific group, young black folks

Whoomp sounds like it’s the PWI version of the HBCU Whoot.

On another note, I’ve actually never seen the videos of either. Whoot has all the HBCUs and Greeks repping. And that bass. Vastly superior.

I ain’t even realize it was two different songs, but I do recall hearing both.
