Of course he was... Pau is a gold medal winner and a huge contributor on a team that went to the finals 3 times as the second option, and won 2 straight titles... GP was a headcase who played great defense and could score but couldn't even get out of the west when his team was favoured... it's a no brainer.
@ the gold metal winner throw in lol... That shyt doesnt mean shyt. Secondly, Those lakers teams would have went to the finals with Al Jefferson, Prime Antwan Jamison, Amarie, hell even LMA
Stop acting like Pau was some sort of savior....Bean and almost any skilled big was enough to go to the finals then. GP changed the fukkin game when he played (hand checking rule???). Pau didnt do that at all you're trippin
Who was the better player over all?
I think it's obvious... one of them contributed at a high level to title(s) and the other didn't... simple as that but I'll let the streets decide.

You had luke walton playing significant minutes and Bynum injured 90% of the time. Pau was the utter truth and the gold metal matters because he got it on a foreign team who beat america.Broke you're a good dude you sure you're not trollin me breh? You say "those lakers teams" like that means anything... you wanna tell me who was on "those lakers teams" that made them an automatic title lock? Those teams were fukking horribleYou had luke walton playing significant minutes and Bynum injured 90% of the time. You tellin me that yall wouldnt be a contender with any of those bigs I mentioned? Man miss me with that Gold metal ish breh.... I view those as exhibition games on steroids man. Are you going to ignore how GP was a one of a kind? A PG who could defend on a elite level and score at the same damn time??? Not to mention the assist....Come on manPFs is like the best position over the course of time in NBA history.
I don't even fukk with Pau but he has been better than Gary.
Payton was a 24/9/7 player at his peak and was also first team all-nba and defense. Was considered the best point guard in the NBA for a few years. Not really close at all.lol the PF position is no where close to being the best position in nba history. You just a homer b, Pau in no way shape or form has ever been better than Gary Peyton.
@ using olympic achievements (which is dumb to begin with) in an argument for Pau like GP doesn't have two gold medals@ using olympic achievements (which is dumb to begin with) in an argument for Pau like GP doesn't have two gold medals
Lol I would have brought it up but I dont put much into that gold metal ish manI'm mad it took this long for somebody to point out that "The Glove" has 2 gold medals himself.
