Clippers lost cp3, reddikk and jcraw. Who's replacing their top three rotational guards? Pat Beverley? I forgotten who else they got.
Meanwhile Minn got teague, craw, Wiggins, Butler, Kat, taj
Here's the thing about the Clips.... they were the last really good team in the league that played completely static basketball - meaning their pg, sg, sf, pf, and c could play NO other positions but pg, sg, sf, pf, and c. They weren't surprising anyone, ever. That kind of game is just outdated and honestly its surprising that they were ever as good as they were in this day and age despite their talent.
Them getting with times won't up their wins (I think they overachieved for the past 3 years) but it will definitely up their versatility. They'll grow now that CP3 isn't out there running flowchart offense.
Minnesota....
Man, did you see Teague last year? Dude was trash and reminded everyone why he got his spot took by the definition of a middle of the road PG. Crawford is fukking washed at this point. Wiggins is literally one of the worst defenders at his position in the league and didn't show any signs of wanting to do anything other than take mid-range jumpers for a living last year. I don't even think he likes basketball. Wiggins gonna need Butler to change his whole life situation. Butler gotta make KAT trust his teammates again too and learn team defense. Butler also gotta anchor that defense, be a coach on the floor, continue his offensive output on a floor with even less spacing and coordination, AND not let Thibs run him into the dirt like he does everyone else.
Too much shyt has to go right. If Minnesota was playing pick up ball, they'd be a top 10 squad. Or if they were hooping back in 1998. Now? They're way too easy for any modern defense to guard.
