I'm not saying it is my favorite but it's definitely the backbone for this era so I"m not seeing how a gnat who thinks "Return of The Boom Bap" is the standard, should have his opinion about how well Kanye's music is aging be taken seriously

If you listen to the radio it's basically 808s radio. Between Drake, Future, Cudi, even a song like Sweet Serenade has 808s influence in it's beat.
This plus i'm sure since he's getting all the frustation out of his system, he'll get back to that Graduation MBDTF CD hip-hop people are use to.

I had to throw in the towel and I was a to the core Ye stan...I just can't take him anymore...
And for everyone talking about his music...he is trying to get out of that...he is trying to not make music...
I also feel some type of way about the fact that I listened to Yeezus...and said to myself "damn it sound like cyhi wrote these songs...all the little sexual innuendo / punchlines sound just like him"...and low and behold...cyhi has a writing credit for just about every...if not every...song on the album...
Damn Ye...it's obvious you haven't been making your own beats anymore...and I never thought you wrote your own stuff...but now you to lazy to change up the cadence and punches a little bit to at least not just be a mouthpiece for your ghostwriter...
Disappointing to...i used to get in mad arguments about Ye not just being a great hip hop artist...but an all time great artist period in any genre of music...

Yes, he's above average, at best lyrically.
Yes, he plays zero instruments and relied heavily on samples.
Yes, his last album flopped and now he's usin' rants , shock valueand Kardassians--despite his elusive, rebellious visionary facade--the boost attentionf for his tour.
Buy, dude has paid dues. He's just been insufferable over the last year.
