Tyreke Evans used to use that shyt all the time his rookie year and that shyt was lethal. I don't know why he don't use it anymore. I had such high hopes for him. He needs a change of scenery desperately.

he still does, was bout to give him ab honorable mention. i watched the game where they beat the clippers, he did it like 4 times in a row last few minutes of the 4th, scored or was fouled each time.

Most would say so, he brought that move from his time in Italy. He didn't invent it but he made it mainstream. Can't remember where I heard the shyt originated in Lithuania or one of those countires.

sarunis marciualunis (sp) was prolly the first dude to doit in the nba.

edit:first euro dude

I gotta go with d- on this. Did manu birth the move in today's NBA tho?

He definitely was the first to do it in the NBA. But I doubt that he actually created the move. Probably seen someone do it and put it into his arsenal.

:beli: y'all sleeping on how good Harden is with it. The guy does it about 3x a game and goes left almost EVERY time. It's so smooth the defender can't even stop it and you know he's about to do it and he's going left with it.

John Calipari taught him that in college. I dont see him do it that much anymore either.

Elgin Baylor was "Eurostepping" in the 50's and 60's before it was ever even known as a "Eurostep"

So technically Manu re-invented it or brought it back or made it more popular or w/e - but it's an Elgin Baylor move as far as first/oldest player I seen do it. I'll gif it tonight.

Nah, the Euro's didn't invent it but they did make it popular and brought it back.

You can find old footage of Elgin Baylor doing it way back in the day, and Dr. J hitting dudes with it 40 years ago -

3:17 for Dr J Euro step.

Archie Clark does it in the '72 ABA vs NBA ASG too @ 0:47

Harden's euro step is a bit different. He does it more to draw fouls than to actually create enough space to score.

Harden does it the best right now and makes it look effortless. Gets to the basket with ease and if he ain't finishing, he's getting to the line.
