I have no idea. I don't really check for non-hip hop music like that

I mean others may be genuinely trying to put out great work or even succeeding, but think about what is generally considered a master piece within the arts and how one becomes that...
Like him or not Lu is actually aiming to make music dense enough that it may not even be appreciated correctly in the now. When we are talking about "art", a lot of the so called masterpieces weren't even properly digested til that artist was long dead.

Bullshyt. Earl has been here for 5 years. J Cole, 5 years. Wale, almost 10 years.
By Outkast fifth year they had thee masterpieces. Enough excuses, they're just too mediocre. End of story

Earl's main thing when he first came out was that he was a mysterious image. Now in 2015, he tweets 3737383 times a day, seems more concerned with preaching pseudo knowledge on the Internet with actually making a timeless album. That alone ruined his mystery image (which was a good percentage of his appeal), and he's just now some ordinary rapper with ordinary music. Doris was forgettable and so is his new shyt
I really can't disagree with you since I really don't fukk with Cole, Earl, or Wale like that. On the other hand I believe that these guys actually do TRY to make classic albums but they aren't as well-verse or talented as emcees that are capable of creating classics. Tho they have talent it just doesn't translate into masterpieces
j cole tried, but all these dudes care about is making $$$$$$....aint nobody trying to push the envelope...IMO nas and pac already took it as far as it could go anyway

they don't my nikka. you give these guys too much credit. Kendrick is the only one who is capable of making a masterpiece. And he's done it twice already (arguably 3). However..do you see Kendrick on Twitter 73383883 times a day like you see Wale and Earl? no. coincidence? no
Wale has already tainted his image by being an annoying over sensitive cry baby bytch nikka which is why even if he made the greatest rap album of all time no one would give him his props or care, they'd still make fun of him
Earl is just stale now, and is underdeveloped musically.
