Overall it’s Kidd. He’s also probably the only one you could name who clearly was never really chasing assists either and would move the ball to just keep the offense flowing (which is the real comparison to Lonzo).

As far as just court vision and ability to make ANY pass it’s got to be LeBron. The man throws cross court bullet chest passes like he’s passing to someone four feet away.

There's different kinds of passing, it depends on what you mean. Whose the best set up man? Whose the most cerebral passer? Who had the nicest passing highlights? Who gets the most assists?

It's hard to measure this. If we're balancing all of them together then it's either Rondo, Nash, LeBron or Westbrook probably.
Nash, Rondo, or LeBron if we’re talking most skilled passer definitely. Honorable mention should go to Manu though. Most cerebral I’d say is either Nash or Paul. They seem to always hit guy wide open that the defense is never looking for or hitting the roll man perfectly so he either gets the bucket or the foul.

passing is an underrated skillset. not just passing for assist or to an open player, but putting the ball where it needs to be to make it easier for the next guy to make a play or score. leading a guy running the break by passing ahead, passing to a defenders weak side, lob pass, bounce pass, chest pass, skip pass. really is a science to it. i'd rock with stockton as best passing small guy, lebron as best passing big guy.

I'd say it's definitely Lebron to me. To me i haven't seen someone reading the entire defense like three steps ahead like Lebron. You can't take a step too far inside, turn your head for a split second, or cheat towards a different too early without him taking advantage of the mistakes. For the Rondo's, CP3, Kidd, Nash, and Stockton they are great passers but usually using the dribble to set up the openings. Lebron is different to me in that he can make any pass at any time and with his height take more advantage of the full half court due to seeing over the D. Plus the threat of Lebron scoring opens up passing lanes and shifts entire defenes the likes of which the others don't. I hate Bron ball like the next man but his pure passing really is Magic like and the only reason I'd keep him below Magic is that Magic was more willing to come off the ball to set up offense or for others to do work (and that may be a product of him not being near the scorer Lebron is).
