What's funny is that dre has rapped on some of the best rap records ever and people never talk about how he's a top 10 rapper. Dre and kanye are one in the same as far as their production/producing/ rapping abilities. Except dre is the goat mixer/ mastering engineer.
Kanye can't even hire someone to mix his stuff 1/2 as good as dre. MBDTF was a good album but it sounds like it was mixed in Jim jones's dusty bathroom. Even mike dean an ex producer said it sounded like shyt

And even that last point is debatable since clearly Andre has different intentions than Kanye and I'd argue that his artistry is underrated. Look at how different every outkast album is and how far he in particular stretched himself from Southern-the love below. He's never been content with putting out the same product and he had a big hand in the direction of the albums and the sound
Word that's how I see it. Dre doesn't get props as being a dope rapper cause everyone knows he doesn't write his rhymes. The minute you tell me you got someone else writing for you, I take you out the equation

agreed, however i say kanye wins that by default of bein' a solo artist. while dre is his own man in a duo, he's still is apart of a duo until he releases a solo album

the comparison over who's the better artist is really null and void because andre ain't got no solo albums. we just comparin' his verses and guest features to kanye's whole albums
now there's no question imo that andre is the better rapper. for as great as an overall artist kanye is, he ain't never spit no shyt like andre did from 94' to 00'. however, dre still ain't got the whole solo albums to compare with against kanye. so again, it's null and void
