A better comparison would've been Eric dikkerson vs Barry Sanders :obama:

:leon: both of them were elusive as fukk. We'll never know what Gale Sayers could've been with all his injuries. As a Texan, I always have to hear couch quaterbacks try to elevate Emmit into the discussion as the GOAT. Dude was a great RB, but he's not even in my top ten.

If you talk to some old heads that played in the League they all say Bo Jackson could've been the GOAT if he strictly focused on football and had never gotten hurt :wow:

Obviously Barry Sanders was better......you can look at his college career and see that. His 1988 season at OSU is still one of the greatest ever......but as a cowboy's fan I'm sick of fakkits always underrating Emmitt......

He's ridiculously underrated because of his line.....Games like this are what made Emmitt great

1993 Week 18 Cowboys vs Giants

The Separated Shoulder Game. Emmitt Smith gained 229 yards from scrimmage in a game in which his shoulder was separated by Giants safety Greg Jackson in the first half. The NFL MVP's courageous performance lifted the Cowboys to a 16-13 win in OT. The Dallas victory also clinched the NFC East title and home-field throughout the playoffs in a winner-take-all game at the Meadowlands. (AP Photo/Linda Kaye)

We're literally watching a league where teams are currently using multiple backs because backs just don't last anymore meanwhile some of you are criticizing a back with the toughness and longevity of an Emmitt Smith....SMFH

Funny I just was at Mitchell and Ness and bought 2 Emmitt jerseys last week.

A Buckeye State Of Mind
:wtf: why nikkas sleeping on Emmitt. He was one of the best blocking backs I ever saw. And he had excellent hands out the backfield. And while Barry was the better pure runner, how many times did Emmitt get caught from behind? But yet nikkas say he was slow:rudy: Plus his stiff arm was :ohlawd:
And look at all the injuries he played through:whew:

And while Barry had nowhere near the supporting cast E.Smith had,he did play with Herman Moore,Lomas Brown, and a few others.

Its ok to pick Barry but the disrespect towards the all-time leading rusher is:scusthov:

Barry>>>

Don't sleep on Emmitt though just cos he had a great team around him doesn't mean he wasn't an amazing back.

The Yay
rings only come into play if players are very comparable...these guys arent

only thing emmitt has over barry is longevity...which was a matter of choice for barry

anyway, barry easily. the poll is pretty much on point, considering the OP prolly voted for emmitt

U kno what, I'm fukkin' up y'all. I'm underratin' Sanders, he was obviously better than dikkerson. This lil' light-skinned nikka... :whew: Only Jim Brown is inarguably better, only foos in Barry's league are Earl Campbell and Walter Payton
