I'm talking about guitars in generals (bass,acoustics,electric, etc). What guy do you feel was able to make his instrument create the best grooves and harmonies?
To me my man Eddie Hazel is the goat but Jimi,Prince, and Bootsy are all dope.

Jimi Hendrix is the GOAT. the only dudes close to him were Jimmy Page, Duane Allman, BB King, & Chuck Berry

Jimmy Page, although a plagiarizing devil, gets a pass because technically he's a fukking monster

Someone who's underrated is Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth. Their lead guitar parts are , especially on Daydream NAtion

Breh, Eddie basically died in his 20s, too. His body just didn't catch up until he was 42.

REP for having Pharoah Sanders in your avi. He along with dolphy are some Jazz artists I think don't get enough praise.

However I dislike these kinda threads...guitar playing isn't no competition.

I like B.B King's vibrato, and his use of the right notes....I also like Hendrix's wild,'let it go' playing.
