Anyone who thinks K-Rino is terrible is stupid as fukk. You don't know who your talking to. That's not how I rate, my top 2 are Pac and KRS-One, so it ain't no dare to be different type shyt as those are pretty common choices. You don't really know anything about lyrics if you don't think K is a GREAT lyricist.. he really is one of, if not THE best lyricists, I'd argue THE best. If you don't like his music, that's your preference, saying he's a terrible lyricist isn't, it's just ignorant and foolish, when he's truly exceptional.

his style is terrible to me..just becuz he using big words doesn't impress me..all that astrological, hypnopotical shyt sound aight only when certain rappers do it,like canibus in his prime..it's a reason why this dude been out for all these years and would never be able to drop a halfway likeable song to the masses

Still the GOAT lyricist:ld:

And would make your favorite rapper sound like a high functioning retard lyrically.

But i can understand how his music might be a bit hard to digest by a crack baby with low cognitive ability.:win:

dude is underground for a reason breh..if you stay underground your whole career then that just mean youre not good enough & lacking something that elevates you from the bottom..eminem would shyt on this dude..and I'm not even a em fan like that(and I know he dissed em already),and I mentioned em because he was once a underground/battle rap mc..

He most certainly is. And it's by his own choosing. You need to do your homework. He made a concious decision early on in his career, that he wasn't going to compromise the integrity of his art for a paycheck and bend to the will of what Israeli-cac rap label execs believe constitutes quality rap music. He doesn't make party/club songs, catchy gimmick songs or crossover type tracks that would appeal to a mass audience. Which is vital for mainstream success. The content of his music is dark, dreary and made to stimulant the mind and make you think. His brand of music was always made for a small, niche audience.

And if Em hadn't developed a gimmick and made those cutesy, catchy type songs like "my name is" "im slim shady" "without me" etc. He would still be exactly where K is... underground. Regardless of lyrical skill. There's more to selling records and gaining mainstream notoriety than just having great lyrical ability. Anyone with a shred of common sense should know this.

i agree with everything you said, especially the bolded, because someone who supposedly chooses to limit himself and only appeals to a small, very small circle could never be seriously viewed as the greatest lyricist of all time..its ridiculous, and if you and the other guy had any sense ya'll would've known better than to even mention this slightly advanced version of kurtis blow amongst the PROVEN greats such as rakim, nas,em or even canibus..at least canibus made a well known classic that also displayed skills (2nd round ko)

So not having a cheap schtick, and making catchy, dumbed down tracks in order to appeal to a broad mainstream audience is what consider limiting yourself as a rap artist? :dahell:

:mjlol:

You do realize that we're having a discussion on lyricism here?

And you become the greatest lyricist of all time... by writing the greatest lyrics of all time. There should be no other measure.

He makes the pen game of everybody you mentioned look inept. Like low grade nursery rhymers.

And it's funny you mention Canibus... because Bis himself names K-Rino as the man who made him "want to write rhymes" (his own words)

Canibus is basically K-Rino lite.

And i don't need the conventional wisdom of what constitutes "great hip hop music" or "great lyricism" which is derived from the cac run hip hop media and cac run record labels in order to tell me how to think... but apparently you do. :mjpls:

The whole crux of your argument of why K-Rino isn't a great lyricist or rap artist is basically... "well, he was never excepted in the mainstream, therefore he SUX!!!!!!" :beli:

Your whole opinion on his lyrical ability is based on other people not being hip to his music. :snoop:

BTW, he gets universal respect amongst his contemporaries and the "greats" in his city, which includes the man who many consider the GOAT... Scarface... i'll take his opinion over yours thank you very much. :sas2:

people arent hip to his music because overall it just doesnt sound that good breh..rakim was lyrical and sounded good..didnt sellout(at least not on the 1st two or 3 albums)..krs is a well respected lyricist, has classic tracks and definitely isn't a sellout..

you see,my friend, greatness cannot be confined even if it wants to be..nor should it be..

underdogs are always cool to root for,and i get that, but you must understand why they are underdogs in the 1st place..

Dawg... what is K Rino doing that you consider lyricism?

Everything... pretty much. Represents the tip of the sphere of MC'ing. I don't see a weakness.

These gentlemen seem to be quite fond of his music. :ld: @ 0:20 - 2:00

Care to list your credentials and accomplishments in rap music compared to these fine gentlemen? Because surely you know more about what constitutes quality rap music than these guys.
