Nas, at least not on purpose.

Prodigy said in his book that Nas used to called him "Rat Boy", because of how his teeth looked (before he got them fixed). I don't see him as "humorless", he just doesn't put funny stuff in his songs because it usually doesn't fit the feel of his songs.

How has Jeru not come up :mindblown:

Dude is the definition of humorless, dude sounds like he's never had any fun in his life ever

People like Jeru, Killah Priest, etc are nowhere near as serious as how they portray themselves on records. After the show, those dudes are looking for weed, puzzy, liquor etc just like anyone else. Actually Jeru was a bit of a jerk back in the day, and developed a rep for hollering at other dude's chicks.

Rakim, Chuck D and maybe Ice-T to some extent set the blueprint for all of these dudes. After that you had guys like Cube/Ren, Scarface/Willie D etc. following up on that wave. I guess the general idea is, don't be so jovial that people don't fully respect your presence, or what you have to say. Most of these dudes have good senses of humor, but shy away from putting funny stuff in their music.

I saw Jeru acting like an a$$hole back in the day in the city and lost respect for him. Killah Priest is a straight up hilarious individual. We just sent him a Blood Orange video and he called back immediately laughing hysterically at how awful dudes dancing is. Now he's sending us fat men doing ballet videos.

It makes sense. from the stories I heard, it seemed like he was more arrogant than most of the commercially styled artists that he liked to throw shots at.
But he did like to have fun, even if it was with YOUR girl.

Ghostface is probably the most humorless out of anyone in wu tang. dude threw fifty down a flight of stairs over how to rob. and made a really dedicated spooky ass video at action bronson when he said basically nothing. dude takes no shyt.

man i negged you but tbh i think youre just confusing humourless with something else entirely, ghost is one of the funniest artists to ever exist..all sorts of abstract hilarious imagery in his verses, i was just listening to Gihad off cuban linx two and the richard gere line made me break into laughter...again, whole verse is funny

this is the guy who had milk pouring out his mouth on i cant go to sleep

and the skit where hes talkin to the kid before 'whip you with a strap' in fishscale....the imagery in shakey dog on the same album...

i could go on and on, the guys hilarious on all sorts of levels
