Otherwise it's strategic abuse. Remember... you don't get kicked out with too many penalties.

PI could be a 15yrd penality....but then you have to put a player limit on it so the player is ejected at a certain point.

Maybe I'm just looking for a penalty to complain about, but I've never really like how within the ten yard line it's half the distance to the goal, yet if you're on you're own one yard line and the defense jumps offside, you get five yards right there. Always drives me nuts.

Yeah, I saw the eagles redskins game last yr too. But that was encroachment several times in a row and blatant abuse to try to time up a stop.


My point is you could abuse PI a several times per quarter and nothing would happen if it was 10-15yrds penalty.
