PG has a better skillset than every player in the East besides LeBron (even better than him in some areas), as well as being one of the best wing defenders in the league (able to guard 1-4). No doubt he has his flaws, but he most definitely is a top-5 player in the East. Without question. Give him a proper team built around his talents, and you'd see him in a different light.

PG13 over Wall? Why?

Isaiah isn't as multi faceted but he can be the number 1 option on offense with consistent, efficient production which pg13 can't do. I prioritize offense when judging players because ultimately putting the ball in the hoop is the only consistent.

Because he's a flat out better player. Greater offensive skillset (especially in the halfcourt) and has a lot more impact on the defensive end.

Are you talking in terms of being a #1 option on a contender or? I really don't see any sense of thinking IT2 is a #1 option and PG isn't, especially since there isn't a great margin between their efficiency and skillset, and IT2 has only been producing at this level for one season. That doesn't put him in a seperate tier to PG, who's been producing at high level for a while now, and is proven elite offensive player. Apart from that 53-pt game against the Wizards earlier in the series, he really hasn't been the great on the offensive end in the playoffs (20 ppg on 43% shooting over 10 games).

Curry or Westbrook aren't good on defense and no I'm not saying Wall is better than Curry or Westbrook

If I'm building a team and I can't give Curry lockdown defenders around him or elite screeners at several positions, I.E most teams, im going with Wall

But do you feel the fact that he is 3-36 on game-winning shots should figure a lot, a little, or not at all into the argument? That's way outside of random variance - he clearly has a significant flaw that suggests the ball really shouldn't be in his hands at that stage in the game.

This season according to NBA.com’s clutch statistics — when games are within 5 points with 5 minutes or less left — no one is shooting better than Paul George. Russell Westbrook and Damian Lillard may shoot more, but no one else that is relied on as much as PG is as efficient. George shoots 56.3% from the field and 46.7% from 3-point range.

It isn’t some trick or statistical manipulation either. If you adjust for pace (which doesn’t affect shooting percentages), George ranks third in points. Even though he doesn’t shoot nearly as many 3-pointers in these clutch situations, he is tied for fourth in the number made.

The game-winning shots is such an arbitrary thing though, that it really doesn't mean much in the grand scheme of things. Plus I mean why criticize him for that when besides Kyrie, there really isn't anyone in the East with an extensive GW resume? Other players have much more glaring and impactful flaws than PG's inability to hit game-winning shots.
