He got Phil fired. That's his own doing. He should have made it work. Egos aside.

The "system" wasnt a thing until about 5 years ago. In 99, 03, 05, 07 there was no talk about pops system.

So was Kobe a roll player in the three peat? He didn't get fmvp.

KOBE NEVER GOT PHIL FIRED SMH AND OF COURSE GAYASS MIAMI316 GUNA DAP THAT

"Fire Phil and trade Shaq or I'm leaving for the Clippers" and Duncan was clearly the first/second option all the way through 2014 and maybe into 2015 when he was still all NBA first team and leading them in scoring during the playoffs:ufdup:

THE SPURS WON TITLES WITH HIM AS A ROLE PLAYER

:martin:

Finals MVP in 1999

Finals MVP in 2003

Finals MVP in 2005

Not Finals MVP in 2007 because Tony Parker feasted on Boobie Gibson, but still clearly the best all-around player on the team. 1st-team All-NBA and 1st-team All-Defensive, TP didn't even make all-NBA on any team that year and never had (until sneaking onto the 3rd team in 2009).

Would have been Finals MVP in 2013 if Lebron and Ray don't hit those shots.

Duncan/Kawhi/TP/Ginobli were all pretty much equally destructive in 2014. If the Heat were a big three and could all be considered stars, then the Spurs were a big 4, because all four of them played a hell of a lot better than Wade and Bosh did.

Duncan was arguably the best player on the court for the Spurs even in the 2015 playoffs. Averaged 18-11-3 with 1.3 steals and 1.4 blocks on 59% shooting, with a 27-11-2 on 11-16 shooting in Game 7. 2nd in scoring and nearly as many assists as Parker while leading the team in rebounds, steals, and blocks. Some "role player".

Duncan was never a role player on a championship team ala Kobe 2000. He was either the sole superstar and clear focus of the entire team (1998-2004), the best player by far among several good players (2005-2009), or one of several relatively equal co-stars (2010-2015). 2015 was his lowest-producing year as a pro, and he still was putting in 17-11-4 and 2.5 blocks/game per 36 minutes, on 51% shooting, and making 3rd-team All-NBA and 2nd-team All-Defensive.

KOBE WAS ALREADY ANOINTED THE BEST PLAYER IN THE WORLD BY SHAQ IN 2000 .. DUNCAN COULDA BEEN INJURED AND SPURS WOULDA STILL BEEN CONTENDERS FROM 2007-2016. PERIOD.

4th option:bryan:

He was the second leading scorer in both the regular reason and postseason you fukking idiot the year they beat Miami:heh:

He averaged 15 points in the regular season playing less than 30 mins a game which was only behind TP's 16 ppg that year and increased to 16 ppg trailing Tony's 17 ppg

Keep on making up shyt :obama:

Kobe to the lakers in 2001-2002 averaged 24.5 and 26.7 second behind only Shaq both times. Besides Kobe beats Duncan in post season anyway in wins and points scored. I'll be awaiting a long winded analysis from you that nikkas won't gaf bout because Kobe will always be viewed as one of the goats

Right like prime kobe doesn't have a winning record against him and the Spurs in the post season and beat them nikkas without Shaq until injuries put a strain on his career. Kobe is one of the most respected players and influential anyways so this hate on the coli isn't reality anyways:heh: i know nikkas hate the love Kobe gets but it's never going away

Consensus-wise, Lebron, Kareem and Duncan are in a class above

then people would argue about Shaq, Hakeem and Kobe and what order they should be in.

Spread Love - The Player Way
worst "skilled" player would be Shaq. The rest of the players had more complete offensive skills; Shaq just backed you down, elbowed you in the face and dunked the ball on your head
fukk outta here
shaqs footwork was impeccable for a man his size
he just didnt have a jumpshooters touch...but of course he utilized his size and gracefulness for his size and nice touch around the rim.
it was a combination of brute force and finesse.
