shyt opened my eyes when I went to Law School. Had a conversation with an Indian female law student who felt comfortable enough to tell me all her friends(from Queens) back in the day used to tease her because she always acted proper and spoke well. She then said "I mean I can't blame them though, I'm like a little white girl." I was like, so what would it mean to be black if proper is white?
She felt uncomfortable as fukk. Changed topic and left.

Since I am black, I use what I feel represents us in the highest esteem.
Now, interesting how in the years I've been debating the topic, your question never came up.
I need to think more heavily on what I behave means "black".
Off the top though...
I would say prideful & aware of social surroundings(socially conscious). I need to think of more though...
