Spielberg didn't direct a single episode of Tiny Toon Adventures, he was just a producer, same goes for Animaniacs. In fact the only animated film Spielberg has ever directed was that wack Tin Tin movie.

Direction or not Paul dini has said both of those projects were overseen by him and he had a very hands on approach. They were his vision and he made sure everyone was around to make it happen.
