What kind of issues did you have that you couldn't figure out with Google.com?

I have that Modem, I can vouch for that one.

I'm also team ASUS when it comes to Routers and that one looks good, what speeds are you paying for? I actually just copped a new Router the other day, just got here in the mail.

I currently have that modem you linked and the ASUS RT-N53 :flabbynsick:

It's the cheapest dual band router I could cop at the time I moved in my crib and it was solid for a while, but I noticed that the 5GHZ signal doesn't always show up, and that my net speeds aren't anywhere close over wifi like they are over wired.

I'm upgrading to the ASUS RT-AC68U... it might be overkill, but shyt, I won't be looking for a router anytime soon if it delivers like my boy tells me it is for him.

i have the 50 mb plan for 60$/month with comcast (10$ to rent the modem). I was eyeing the 68U but don't think i'll be getting the most out of it anytime soon :patrice:i wanna switch my media stuff to wifi since seeing the wires is starting to annoy me but wanna make sure i still get good speed too. i think i'm gonna roll with those two and give it a test run. props for the info

AT&T/Uverse for Internet :scusthov:

I pay about $50/mo for 18 down/1.5 up. Sucks but it was either them or Comcast. :smh:

Don't have cable because it'd be a waste of money for me...between Netflix and the Internet I can watch everything I want.

You should be straight with that. I was good with my cheap model for years.

Comcast started upping my speeds as they're trying to give customers more competitive net speeds for the price and I'm now getting over 100mbps, but over wifi I can only get 20. My boy has the same router and said he gets close to his wired speeds with it so I pulled the trigger. Will set it up tonight and see how it is.

I'm moving into my own house this week, and I'm gonna need to get wired. Talked to COMCAST, they can wire 1 room with premium channels (sports n shyt, HBO, etc.) plus 105 mb Internet for $110 plus tax.

With that said I want to see what you guys are using, and how much you paying for the service. Im only 24, totally new to home ownership brehs

:lupe:

I have comcast, and I'm paying about $170/month for cable and internet. but I have 3 HD boxes, and 2 HD adapters as well. I have 75Mbps internet.

only reason I have cable is cuz of the wife/kids.
me too honestly.

But I've noticed my kids watching less and less tv all the time. if it wasn't for live sports and not wanting to stream a wack quality to my big tv I'd cut already.

but I'm not broke so :manny:

just cuz me or you can afford it, don't mean it's fun to pay that massive cable bill.

I already got kodi installed on my MBP. I either need to get an android stick or apple tv, so I can stream that conent right onto the tv. in the summer time, I don't even find myself watching tv, cuz of the lack of sports. I'm either doing netflix, or watching movies from one of those tube sites.

then I'm downloading all the HBO/Showtime TV series I wanna watch.
