FMVPs don't hold that much weight. The award was invalidated when they gave it to someone the caliber of an Iggy. Iggy is a role player that will never lead a team to a championship. The award has been viewed through the lens of Lebron since 2012.
This is why I have a huge issue with Bron Ball because media members have forgotten how to actually watch and judge the game of basketball. They have all become stat watchers and not game watchers.
When I watch the game, I look for impact and how the defense reacts to certain players and how the player reacts to the increased pressure/scrutiny of the defense. Defensively, I take into account the positions of the players on the court. Do they perform highly or adequately in their role on defense? That shows the true value and ability of said players on the court, not stats.
Curry checks all the boxes and sometimes outpaces his peers by a wide margin.
The voting breakdown for Iggys mvp is suspect as hell and it’s likely some media members colluded to block LeBron from winning (He should not have won tho). It went 7 iggy, 4 LeBron, 0 curry. Joke.
Curry didn’t have an amazing finals but how do you get 0 votes when you lead the team in scoring and assists. LeBron had four votes despite losing and despite iggy winning for defending LBJ.
Publicly releasing the voting ruined the award for me and killed it’s mystique. I cringe when I hear people using this award to rank players or how much a ring is worth.

nikkas laughed at me when I said the Dubs will dominate the league one day. Now them same clowns saying rings aren't equal
