FMVPs don't hold that much weight. The award was invalidated when they gave it to someone the caliber of an Iggy. Iggy is a role player that will never lead a team to a championship. The award has been viewed through the lens of Lebron since 2012. :yeshrug:
This is why I have a huge issue with Bron Ball because media members have forgotten how to actually watch and judge the game of basketball. They have all become stat watchers and not game watchers.

When I watch the game, I look for impact and how the defense reacts to certain players and how the player reacts to the increased pressure/scrutiny of the defense. Defensively, I take into account the positions of the players on the court. Do they perform highly or adequately in their role on defense? That shows the true value and ability of said players on the court, not stats.

Curry checks all the boxes and sometimes outpaces his peers by a wide margin.

The voting breakdown for Iggys mvp is suspect as hell and it’s likely some media members colluded to block LeBron from winning (He should not have won tho). It went 7 iggy, 4 LeBron, 0 curry. Joke.

Curry didn’t have an amazing finals but how do you get 0 votes when you lead the team in scoring and assists. LeBron had four votes despite losing and despite iggy winning for defending LBJ.

Publicly releasing the voting ruined the award for me and killed it’s mystique. I cringe when I hear people using this award to rank players or how much a ring is worth.

The thread is who's rings do you respect most.

Since they're equal in count right now, finals mvp seems like an easy way to break the tie. Not sure why people knocking it hard body.

The last three finals they got the FMVP correct, so it ain't like it's wrong every time.

Curry could have won it their first finals, so we can give him one for that.

But no need to fret anyway since KD will bring Curry more rings than Bron (and KD himself) the next few seasons.

Who needs FMVPs when you lead the ring count amirite? :troll:

Let's put some context. 2015 the Cavs were up 2-1 and then the Dubs proceeded to beat them 3 straight games to secure the chip. 2016 Cavs at full strength was down 3-1 and on the ropes until Draymond got suspended and Harrison Barnes missed every open shot. In conclusion GS has always been superior to the Cavs over the last 4 years.
Suspension of a guy that played in 2 elimination games where they still had home court? Btw, The Cavs missed a lot of open shots even in this past finals so why are Barnes open shots anymore special?

Can you show us Iggys impact on the series? Curry didn't even get a single vote. Not 1 vote for FMVP yet you have revisionists upon revisionists claiming something that we all watched.

These "respect" rings arguments are fukking stupid. They're champions, and their is nothing that anyone can say otherwise. You cats actually believe that Curry or LeBron give a fukk if some random internet sports forum poster "respects" his championship win :mjlol:

I hate when people use this argument...if they don't care what fans think they wouldn't chase rings in general, b/c/ fans gave these former players the narrative that rings do count.:mjlol:

I don't respect any rings ever won by anybody. It's not fair that only a small percentage of people are more athletic and excel at sports and are better then the rest of the world. I swear some of you are fukken stupid. The reason they win championships is because they are usually the best at what they do. Sometimes I wonder how some of you don't walk into traffic and let natural selection take place.

Nothing revisionist about it. I don't go by what the MEDIA says what happened. Iggy played great defense on a jumperless LeBron, but he is not leading any team to a championship. Just about all of his offensive output came because not a soul was guarding him, they were too obsessed with stopping Curry. He was looked at as a role player by the defense because that's exactly what he is.
