I like the fact that grant is portrayed realistically as a flawed person and not a saint. It makes the impact much more real. I'm going to see this at 5.
That was the right call.

It wasn't some posthumous paint the person an angel story, which is what I loved.

We all have that side to us, we try to do our best but a lot of still struglle with things.

Also showing the actual footage to start the movie was a strong move too.

Movie hurt a lot because as you watch it those moments of Oscar being a good father, struggling with his issues and trying to be a better son really were rough because you knew he was never going to get to be want he wanted to.

Just got back from seeing it and it was a damn good movie. Not gonna lie, had a :sadbron: near the end..especially the VERY end on some :wow: shyt...

That boy Michael B. Jordan really played a legit bay nikka tho..straight down to the tee that left me like :ohhh:

Hearing The Jacka and Mac Dre's music on the big screen had me like :gladbron:

Won't be surprised if this film gets nominated for a few Oscars..especially for Adapted Screenplay, Best Director, Best Actor, and/or Best Picture..

Wallace came a long way breh! :wow:

Saw the 4:45 show, no bullshyt I cried about 3- 4 times.

fukking heartbreaking movie, when I left the theater I was literally hurting a bit. The end with Sophina and T in the shower was so sad and so real.

Then you see the fukking p.o.s cop got off with 11 months, made me sick

It was a great film man. I felt it too, truly heartbreaking.

When i got up to leave, i had to put my hat low because i looked like i just came out a funeral.

My chest was actually tight until i got to the car, at the end when they mention the cops 11 fukking month sentence and how the kid was 22 and showed Tatiana, i was done

:wow:

Had a brother tearing up towards the end, must see

I think it was signifying a turning point where he was tired of the same bullshyt and truly trying to get his life together. But he was supposed to sell the asian dude the bag of weed he dumped in the ocean.

He was gonna sell him the ziplock bag of weed, but Oscar decided to throw that into the ocean cause he was done with selling weed.

Thats why he just gave him that little bit in the card and didn't charge him
