Mystikal was about to blow without No Limit, then the rape case :francis:

Get out years later...hook up with Mannie Fresh...nothing came of it :francis:

Sign to Cash Money....nothing came of it :francis:

...get caught up for the same charges....

huge mystikal fan, but dude epitomizes wasted potential.. Got damn I wanted him and mannie to put out like 5 or 6 albums together... The culture wanted that and mystikal was bullshyttin.

him and mannie could have had equal or better chemistry than even mannie/ Juve

Jay Electronica is like the forthrunner for this. :snoop:
I think Lupe could've been bigger if the Lasers fiasco (HEY!) didn't happen. Like Dude dropped heat on Enemy of the State to hype Lasers, and that shyt didn't come out for almost 2 years after.
Juelz is a fukking idiot. He was supposed to hold it down for us skinny nikkas in 3xl shirts, and he decided to not release shyt. My man was working with Wayne, and I remember thinking both of them were going to hit the stratosphere, only Wayne did.
Beans :mjcry::mjcry::mjcry: him and Jay on the same track was like heaven. So many other factors just fukked his shyt up. The B. Coming is fukking underrated.

Monch: has the lyrics, flow, rhyme schemes, and concepts that are top 10. Quality albums, just not enough output.
Jada: after over 20 yrs in the game, his last album is his best (and it’s a collab)
Jean Grae: sorta in the Monch camp

And of those mentioned...Jay Elec, Bis, Saigon and Meth.

Monch is interesting. He's probably better than your favorite rapper but like you said the output isn't quite there solo wise.

Organized konfusion is still the best duo ever :lolbron:

Freddie Gibbs is one of my faves and is consistent with good material but I though he would have been bigger on the mainstream. but hearing drug rap from the hustler perspective aint that cool no more in this junkie culture.

Zro- same as gibbs

Max B- He was obviously next

Stack Bundles- Died before he could blow. Jim shouldve had them byrdgang nikkas in pocket because he was sittin on a goldmine of talent but he had the same problem as cam when it comes to letting his soldiers shine. nikka had the puff daddy lust of the spotlight. A responsible boss would have had them nikkas recording in studios like mad men to where they wouldnt have time fukk around in them streets gettin the attention of hatin ass nikka or in max case. being pimped for his creativity.

Juvenile- Yeah he made his mark with 400 degreez, gcode and the hotboy album and he has timeless hits But Juve should have rose in status after leaving CMR. Dude just seemed to gradually fade over time.

MAC from No Limit-

Souljah slim- died before he could blow off slow motion, fukking hated that shyt.

I wished Playa Fly would have been bigger... One of the few conscious type rappers in memphis. "Nobody needs nobody" with better mixing and mastering would slap so fukking hard

For those who dont know

Mos Def. Not too many rappers came out the gate with as much momentum as him but BoB he just started coasting and took a long as time to deliver a rap album.

MF doom. He had the best run in the 2000s for me and everything he touched was gold.. But its 2018 now

:mjcry:

Both are in top 5

Lupe was supposed to be what Kendrick is today. The Cool is arguably one of the greatest sophomore albums of all time..... Then he dropped Lasers and haven't been the same since :mjcry: (fukk Atlantic)

I coulda swore Ab Soul had next. Control System is an amazing body of work. Before Good Kid soulo had the best album on TDE.
It mighta been a fluke because everything he dropped since has been trash.

Who yall got?

Lupe is god tier for those that know

The last legit GOAT candidate

Azealia Banks.

I remember when I first heard 212 I had no doubts she was up next. She was poised for superstardom.

She was cute, she had the slim build the killer smile the girl next door appeal she wasn't a sexpot like other females were marketed as, she had her own lane.

The song was fresh, clever, her delivery was unique, she showed she could even sing on the bridge. 212 had 146M youtube views.

Now, she's a 30for30 story, because she's nuts.

Well.... Yeah cause that's a stupid sound bite Kendrick fans use.

Lupe was never gonna be this pushed forced down people's throats by Atlantic into the mainstream like Kendrick is with Interscope.(part of it is also that Lupe didn't fully want to go mainstream/pop)
:laff: Act like lasers never happened brehs

Lupe Stans are delusional

:dwillhuh: about to blow? He dropped 2 albums off no limit. Danger and shake ya ass were smash hits. He was a superstar he had already blown up.

That hit he dropped in Mark ronson album though :banderas:

All the NY rappers that were in the mixtape game but didn't make it to the next level, died, or fell off. The list includes but isn't limited to:

I aint denying Lasers.:dahell: . Infact that relates to my point about part of it being Lupes stubborness(being that Atlantic wanted the album for pop , but Lu was reluctant thus feuding and such) leading to what Lasers is what it is now(and whatever other factors I'm forgetting)
