I was a Tragedy Khadafi stan but the delay and shelving of Against All Odds (a personal classic) pretty much destroyed his chance of being a bigger star. Back then, with War Report and AAO he was putting out some serious NY goon music.
He legit dropped the best album on TDESchoolboy Q - he hasn't disappointed me as an artist at all - dude is actually a very good rapper when he wants to spit bars, he also effortlessly can be "lighter" for party/fun songs. he has killed all his guest spots, dude has charisma, makes great music, etc. but the mainstream is sleeping on him and i don't know why. he's easily better than a nikka like big sean, maybe he needs more generic production? more features with bigger names? i dont know

Crooked I...didn’t help that he was on Death Row at a time when the label was dead![]()

Lupe was supposed to be what Kendrick is today.
yall Kendrick stans man
Lupe man
What he lacked lyrically on F&L by comparison to where he is now, he made up for with beautiful music. Now he has otherworldly lyrics but the music is so trash its unbelievable.
Where is Rich Boy?!!![]()

Monch: has the lyrics, flow, rhyme schemes, and concepts that are top 10. Quality albums, just not enough output.
He had so much potential.Bishop Lamont at the time
Looking back now his career probably panned out exactly how it was supposed to![]()
