Peedi Crakk

He was on Roc-A-Fella, had 1 of the best breakout singles with "1 For Peedi Crakk" and a classic feature on Freeway's "Flipside", his Crakk Files mixtapes, along with a few other memorable/great moments ("Temporary Relief", "Flatline", "Gotta Have It", the Ne-yo song "Stay" etc etc) Then once his time on Roc-A-Fella was over, he did a couple joints w/ The Roots in the mid 2000's which I thought was a really good look and then he fell back again. :beli:

Just remembered, bruh was even on Blueprint 2 on "As One" (a couple bars) and he did get a plaque for it. That count for something. :manny:
All of this was back in the start the early 2000's to mid 2000's & here we are in 2018 and he STILL ain't dropped a album. Not 1 fukking album! :why:

Bruh still nice with it too but yet he only drops a song or 2 every once in a blue moon and that's it. :snoop:

Lupe was supposed to be what Kendrick is today. The Cool is arguably one of the greatest sophomore albums of all time..... Then he dropped Lasers and haven't been the same since :mjcry: (fukk Atlantic)

I coulda swore Ab Soul had next. Control System is an amazing body of work. Before Good Kid soulo had the best album on TDE.
It mighta been a fluke because everything he dropped since has been trash.

Who yall got?

Soulo definitely disappointed tf out of me :francis: From Longterm Mentality to CS, I felt he had next but it just never happened

Canibus: His first album was mediocre with mediocre beats.

Kirko Bangz: He had a few good tracks, he about released an album in 2013 but it got held back and held back again on numerous occasions.

Big Krit: I always felt that he could have been bigger than big sean.
Yo, I remember in 2011 when Section 80 and 4EvaNaDay dropped. People were debating between who had next between Kendrick and Krit. I actually thought Krit was gonna blow up more than Kendrick did.

Boy was I wrong.

IMO sample clearance issues hurt his official albums, and his mixtapes ended up being better. That hurt some of his hype.

I'm glad Krit is successful though and still dropping heat.

....Mos Def.

He's had an incredible career, but as far as pure hip-hop goes, I think he had the talent to be in GOAT contention.

I wish AZ had more shine too throughout the years.

I hear you.
I fukk with ALL of Yasiin's music EXCEPT for that last album he put out over a year ago.
I love Black On Both Sides, I like The New Danger, I like True Magic, and I love The Ecstatic.
The New Danger and True Magic got gems on em'. I just think a lot of cats was over his music once he didn't come with another Black On Both Sides.
But Yasiin kept evolving and moving forward with his music to me and kept it interesting. I loved Black Jack Johnson and the quick run they had.
But again, the only project I don't like that he did is the last joint, that Dec 99th. I still can't believe how bad that project was.

I'm on the same page.

After the new Chappelle specials dropped, I went back and checked The Ecstatic again...god damn that's a great album. Madlib beats. Good features. There's DOOM influence there too.

Ecstatic is a super underrated album.

Krit should have left his label screwing his album not clearing the samples. The sampling clearance thing also screwed up Pharoahe Monch's Internal affairs album

lol I gotta be a stan to recognize that Kendrick is the biggest "conscious" rapper right now?
Tetsuo & Youth is good, but it's no Food and Liquor
Well.... Yeah cause that's a stupid sound bite Kendrick fans use.

Lupe was never gonna be this pushed forced down people's throats by Atlantic into the mainstream like Kendrick is with Interscope.(part of it is also that Lupe didn't fully want to go mainstream/pop)
