Mike Jones

Was a big Stan of his back in day, but after that trae punch at the source awards, it was a wrap. It was a downward spiral from there

Post 2011 Wiz Khalifa

He’s had a great career with a lot of success but once he released Rolling Papers, I checked out. He has songs I’ve liked since then but I’ll always go back to his mixtapes before any of his albums. I guess Wiz was tired of being an underground rapper and wanted the commercial success. Once Amber Rose came on the scene I knew then that he had completely drank the kool-aid.

....Mos Def.

He's had an incredible career, but as far as pure hip-hop goes, I think he had the talent to be in GOAT contention.

I wish AZ had more shine too throughout the years.

This. He still made Black Star, BOBS & the Ecstatic :manny:

But he could've been much more recognized & heralded, dude had it all.

canibus

he was killing it in freestyles, but never made a dope album, and that L to a fukkin eminem wannabe terrorist looking dizaster is one of the biggest L's ever in rap history :scust:

I used to be into Canibus something heavy in my teens when I was only fukking with that "lyrical spiritual miracle" shyt.

Looking back at it, his discography/output was :scusthov: Rip The Jacker still banged tho :yeshrug:

Ras Kass too.

Not that I ever thought he would ever be "big" but his output quality decreased significantly after Rassassination :manny:

Boosie and Webbie man..
They should be ON TOP

Especially Boosie
But they too real and the industry don't want that

Oddly enough the package they sell (gangsta shyt) is what people want now.. but the labels only push the fake Gs

I'm gonna say somebody who has won a Grammy, in a group that sold a few dozen million records, and brought a new sound to the game, which is heard on multiple hits today.

Bizzy Bone. He had that "it" factor to be a solo star, but demons he dealt with prevented him from taking advantage.

he really did have the solo star potential, while krayzie was the best rapper from the group bizzy just had that it factor for sure. Like method man from wu tang, that charisma.

Ain't krayzie like the only one from the group who had a nice solo career? The thug mentality album was dope as hell.

Lupe was supposed to be what Kendrick is today. The Cool is arguably one of the greatest sophomore albums of all time..... Then he dropped Lasers and haven't been the same since :mjcry: (fukk Atlantic)

I coulda swore Ab Soul had next. Control System is an amazing body of work. Before Good Kid soulo had the best album on TDE.
It mighta been a fluke because everything he dropped since has been trash.

Who yall got?
I agree with everything you said about Lupe. He’s the most disppointing rap artist for me as well.

Fab never had that "prime"where he created that feeling where nikkas were stanning him...

50/Nas/Jay/Cam/Jada all had runs where their fanbase were on some ryde or die shyt...

He just never had the personality to go out and compete imo
Damn... Muthafukin FACTS..!!
But i still dont understand why not... incredible lyricist.. swagger. street cred...

Lupe easily. Should've been one of the uncontested goats but fukked it up with Lasers, then got full creative control and still made poppy radio singles. T&Y was dope but it's over, samurai videos and bitterness is all thats left.
