Channel surfing the satelite dish over the weekend and ended up on some music video show..shocked at the number of white kids trying their hand at 'urban' music..bieber isnt the only one, theres actually dozens of similar wack acts all with the same whiney voice and expensive videos. The industry is pouring serious cash in them.

As for hip-hop, the incoherent sing songy blabbering is a direct product of the south. These dudes can't rap for shyt and are misrepresenting true talents like Face, Luda and T.I. etc. you could put a gun to their dusty heads and still fail to draw out a single decent bar from them.

Cats actually like Young Thug and Future because of validation from hoes. :scust:

Make them spit a few bars from the Sway show on a boom bap beat. :mjlol:

I blame the #newblack mentality taking over the young generation. If you gave them an Ice Cube or Public Enemy from back then, they be all :sadbron: and :sadcam: on reality.

yeah, a fair number of white acts doin' the same bullshyt

as for the boldeded i admit we got our fair share of bullshyt comin' outta the south right now and for years, but i don't think it's fair to put the blame solely on the south
i think it's bigger than that
the south got talent, look at big krit
but the industry not gon give big krit a fair push because he doesn't conform to the bullshyt that they industry or "the machine" wants to promote and push
i hear what you sayin' but i also think its the fact that a lot of great artists ain't gettin' hard all around the world because they not givin' the platform to be
big krit doin' his thing but could you imagine if the powers that be actually promoted him like they do these other wack nikkas? he'd one of the biggest names in music

classic barry and isaac :myman:

where is the soul in these nikkas voices today?
these nikkas today makin' soulless ass music
the music is as flat as a coca cola that's been sittin' out all day

:yeshrug:

Some of them have their moments, Ne-Yo be deliverin, I think that The Weeknd is this generation's Prince :manny:. Tyrese and Jeremih be doin they thing too but for the most part the Genre's pretty hit or miss

I don't really listen to the Radio or check the T.V. for the new shyt tho. I'll check out their Playlists to see what's out there but there really isn't a need (for me) to check em out. The only thing good about the Radio be the shows anyway.

some have their moments, like chris has moments here and there but he's still yet to have his bobby brown "don't be cruel" album
but all of them nikkas be gettin' over because a lot of what gets passed off as "great" today is wack as shyt
the bar got lowered and a lot of people (the artists included) seem to be satisfied with what is deemed as "good" these days
most wants to push the boundary and really try to make great shyt anymore

the weeknd ain't no damn prince. just because nikkas think he's got some type of enigma mystique goin' on don't mean shyt if the music ain't hittin' like that
the weeknd's music is a poor imitation of michael jackson's "stranger in moscow" song over and over and over and over again. every song of his sounds the same
he got some talent, like a pinch of some talent in terms of today's standards but in the grand scheme of things, ain't much there with bruh's music at all
and it's actually a disservice to both even compare him to prince or michael jackson when he's nowhere near either of the 2 of those guys

aight at best in this era and he stands out in this watered down era of music but excludin' this era, nothin' new and nothin' special:francis:

U gotta let some of that hate for the Younginz go Mane...

U just made a Thread about people not recognizing greatness when they see it but you think The Weeknd makes average music :what: How do you go from that to this:pachaha:?

Abel talented than a muthafukka. He's got an amazing sound

again, the weeknd's songs all sound like remakes and imitations of michael's "stranger in moscow" vocally
no disrespect to michael either, it just sounds like someone (the weeknd) doin' a poor imitation of him
vocally, the weeknd just sounds like he's whinin' on songs short of sometimes when the production and his voiced are aligned just right
but 9 times outta 10, i ain't payin' no attention to his music like this :francis:

i want to hear someone singin', not whinin'. the weeknd sound like he damn near be cryin' on some of them songs, man :mjlol:

this is singin' and talent right here :ohlawd:
