No they're not supposed to do that. Members aren't supposed to engage in rep boosting and organized attacks either which is basically what all this is about so I'm not too inclined to say anything about this matter.

The rep boosting doesn't necessarily exclude you from threads. It excludes me from fielding complaints about them.
