I use to live right by Marquette university. Every spring, rich white kids would throw out brand new couches, chairs, appliances etc. I got an ikea sectional off the curb, still had the purchase tags on it from 9 months ago. Had it professionally steam cleaned and I’m sitting on it as I type

Dudes saying this is nasty but will go to hotels & airbnbs. You think you the only one who slept in that bed or sat on that couch?

I know not everybody has bed bugs and roaches. So I take my chances. More often than not, you're gonna come up.
I furnished my apartment damn near for free cause people be getting evicted from apartments here left and right...so whenever it's time, I be lurking around my neighborhood and I find so much good stuff. I mean paintings, lamps, couches, tables, cabinets, TV stands, TVs, desks, office chairs, vacuum cleaners, I've got so much in my apartment right now that I found it's ridiculous!

Like you said, you got to clean that stuff before anything and make sure the condition is right.
I've made some coin selling stuff I find too on craigslist and ebay.
