Until you change your youth system for football your athletes best suited to football won’t ever get a chance anyway and if they somehow get through they’ll be so far behind skillwise it won’t matter.

America could be a footballing powerhouse if it really wanted to but I don’t ever see it happening.:yeshrug:

Why does the rest of the world suck at basketball and football? :jbhmm:
American football is not popular outside of America and basketball is no where near the popularity of football.

Football is the most popular sport in the world.

CR7 and Messi are known across the world more than MJ or LeBron.

America's biggest problem with soccer is the way they develop youth is completely ass backwards, most of the world gets their talented youth in pro camps, getting pro level training at an extremely young age(11-12 years old). Until the US adopts that model, nothing will change.

I will also add that the US does not really support sports they didn't invent(baseball, NFL) or dominate(NBA). That's a big problem as well.

we simply don't have a passion for it on a mainstream level like other nations. :yeshrug:

soccer is not even a top 4 sport in the US. :yeshrug:

ESPN doesn't even really cover Soccer. They don't talk about the premier league or champions league on first take, undisputed, pti, around the horn etc.

in places like brazil and france it's the most popular sport that all the young kids want to play. they play it in the streets, during schooltime, etc.

i go to my hood and kids are playing basketball and football.

in brazil and france, kids want to be the next neymar and mbappe. in the us kids want to be the next curry or odell beckham jr.

it's just a difference in culture. that's the biggest problem before youth system and all that.
