Why analytics/moneyball leads to more success but worse entertainment

Instead of analytics vs entertainment it really should be winning vs entertainment
At highest level if you aren't trying to win by any *legal* means then what are you doing?
And it is job of the leagues to see if something becomes too good or efficient to "nerf" it. We have seen this happen with shifts in baseball.
Technology will always move forward. Teams that are trying to win will always try to find an edge. None of it is new.
If you really think sports on the highest level will go back to backyard ball without strategy in any sports, you're delusional. Sports like anything else will always strive for most efficient way to achieve your goal. We aren't here using an abacus instead of calculators and computers to do basic math. Why should they in sports?
