this is like asking why jim crow lasted longer than nazi germany.

as long as the powers that be in a given country limit their evil to oppression, beatings and assorted killings you'll be left alone. if you want to engage in genocide and the conquering of your neighbors in pursuit of global domination then you'll be checked.

Angola (which South Africa invaded) had the MPLA, which was supported by the USSR and Cuba. But that's a story for another thread.

Good information but the scale cant be compared on any level.

Lets compare casuatly numbers among civilians and military with every nation that germany and their buddies invaded

How?

They all supported apartheid because they were scared that Africa would go communist and all those resources would end up with the Soviet Union, so they did what they always do, which is help violent, brutal regimes stay in power (see Latin America & the Middle East), as long as they agree to not be communists & trade with western powers
