The suburbs
same reason Black people tell themselves God doesn’t exist
Let a fat cac who doesn’t exist take all the credit for all the money you spent brehs
:heh:

That being said…my daughter believed
:wow:
I give white ppl credit for stuff outside of Santa to my kids. My son needed some new cleats for football. I got them and told him a random white guy bought them for him

Na breh the truth might hurt but it stands alone no matter the age. If the idea of a healthy imagination is to teach them a honky is the hero (even Jesus) it’s a hard pass for me.

Do you know Santa …St Nicholas was a real person … who lived and died … who gave away gold in his lifetime… I’m saying it wasn’t made up … what he is now is lies nothing but lies …

I’m saying …

I don’t know why he became a hero … and excluding the Jesus story most of Christmas is bullshyt turned into a money grab but it’s cultural fun … we know even Jesus wasn’t born on that day but the sugary bullshyt has an effect to make this one of the more tolerable times of year for a lot of people …

Of course you can celebrate or not but unless you homeschool your child is force fed all of the cultural and commercial stuff at school … they can’t escape it easily and will ultimately look at you weird for not playing along

I have childhood friends that are still low key bitter about never getting gifts because of religious reasons …

Because it’s a subliminal form of white supremacy.

“Here’s this magical white man that watches over you and brings you gifts on Christmas if you are kind.”

Nah. We’re off that. This is 2022 not 1822.
We work hard to provide the needs and wants of our children. Not gonna let some fake, magical white guy take the credit.

Studies prove that kids should use their imagination as much as possible because of the many benefits.

Ex.
language development
social skills
creativity
etc

I’ll post a couple articles but do your own research for proof.

I've never like Santa Claus. :francis:

I was actually afraid of Santa Claus when I was super young, due in part to him being white, and in part due to me being convinced he was an ancient eldritch demon-monster. :hubie:

A bit of background: My dad had me watch Roots and similar movies at a young age so I was convinced for the longest time most if not all white people were racist. At the same time, I used to think Santa was real, like all kids. Between thinking he's racist, and thinking he's real, the idea of him never sat well with me. Even less so all the songs sang about him. "He sees you when you're sleeping, he knows when you're awake, he knows when you've been bad or good" and all that. That shyt ain't normal. Is he sitting around looking in my window? Watching me when I'm sleeping? He;s out here haning upside down looking into my window or something? A whole ass dude can do that? I thought to myself, "No way. Either my parents are lying to me [I couldn't fathom this] or he's not human". :mjtf:

But it gets worse. He's been around for the longest time, lives in the North Pole which, thanks to the nature shows they used to show on tv, I assumed were teeming with violent polar bears and the most hostile weather and all that. I assumed anyone living that long over there can't be all human. :damn:

So you got this whole ass ancient ass white demon man who ain't human thing that can enter into people's houses through tiny chimneys, can see you when you can't see him, just outright knows all these things about you, has a horde of tiny elves at his beck and call, can make reindeer and a whole ass giant sled fly (at that point I assumed he could as well), and can show up at multiple malls at a time or is running between them at some blinding speed while being big and burly looking. I was confident in my inability to take him in a fight as well. That shyt terrified me. :lupe:

It didn't help that after I actually sat down, thought about this shyt, I would have a reoccurring nightmare where Santa, as a glowing-eyed monster, was trying to kill me because I did not leave out enough milk and cookies and I had seen him which in his mind was a big no-no. I still recall that nightmare. :sadcam:

In any case, it was a great relief when I realized that he was not real. :francis:
