They think jay did all the dumb shyt that's going on now and that he was clueless, dude has always been a stunter but business was handled first. He was a part owner of rocafella records, he was a part owner of rocawear, every business he's been in he's had ownership. Before he flossed business was taken care of, that's all he's saying.

Ok he was about his check, the fukk does that have to do with the point you're trying to make? It doesn't take anything away from the effect that he had on people, especially back then. I remember this old MTV raps interview where him and Dame was in Brooklyn at a shoe store dropping a check. Breh I can't tell you how much that fueled me and made me want to get money. That was probably almost 20 years ago and that had me dreaming of Saturday mornings fresh from the barber shop thumbing thru unfolded money at the counter at the hood shoe store. At that age and at that time period, JayZ was the dude you wanted to be when you grew up. And for him to just flip it like that is a little disingenuous, like he wasn't just with that stunt shyt on his last album. I agree the message needs to be said, but the way he said it was fukking horrible. I go out my way to chop it up with young brehs all the time, and I don't try to preach to them or even get them to stop doing what they doing. All I want to do is show them the other side of the story, give a different perspective. Jay a smart dude, he knows how his message will be received, if he truly was trying to put brehs on game or to envoke a discussion then I think he would've gone about it in a different way. And coming from someone who grew up on JayZ and Project Pat, I have not been a fan of some of the moves old head Jay has made.

Even if you don't care about the man the message is something we as a people need to take seriously. fukk all the petty shyt, we need to come together.

:mindblown: That's the point. There is no real message. Everybody can't follow his blueprint for success. Everybody not trying to be a millionaire let alone a billionaire. His reality is different from his audience.

But alas. He's only doing this for the sole purpose of making money, not kicking knowledge. He forced J Cole to make pop songs just to sell records. He kept Jay Electronicas music under wraps for so long that he not even gonna put an album out. Jay Z is a leech. He milked the game for all he could even to this day but don't try to tell people to follow the same path you did.

And as far as kicking "knowledge" Jay Z could never make a song like this..

Naw dropped more jewels on one song than the entire 4.44.

We all men right? Jay gotta coddle his words to spare hurt feelings? Jays tone is the same it's always been. But I guess since he's "clowning" dudes about credit instead of x5s now you take offense?

I didn't take offense to what he said breh. I am a real man who was birthed by another real man who in turn ingrained all that shyt in me from birth patna. My pops and my uncles taught me everything I needed to know about the streets, women, money and life period. I don't need to look to music for life lessons, if a breh like that is playing the game against a nikka like me, he already lost. I could listen to Opera nikka, this shyt is just in me. That's why I stay out of all that Booth shyt mostly, most of that shyt is lame AF to me. Arguing about rap? Lmao.

I took offense to it because as real man I don't like to see another man who I grew up respecting the shyt out of pull moves like that. And as a breh who came up idolizing hustlers, JayZ pretty much embodied everything I saw in my day to day and also in my head to some extent too

There is a message, it'll be different for everyone but the main one was we should own or community. Everyone but us own shyt in our communities, we should invest our money for it to grow, need more generational wealth. We need to be like the Jews.

When did Hov tell nikkas stop stunting?
I listened to the whole album and i cant think when he said or implied stunting isn't cool.
Tricking bread and stunting is 2 completely different things.
I really cant believe nikkas feelings is hurt over a nikka saying credit is more important than litteraly THROWING MONEY AWAY on whores.:heh:
Hov was never pro tricking so i dont see how he switched up his sentiments.

So we need to be blood sucking thieves that get handouts in the billions from the u.s. every year. Black people have endured centuries of racism in this country while jews were given a head start. Jay Z is rich but at what cost?

People only focus on the money. Like I said most people aren't going to be billion or millionaires. People don't give 2 fukks about him owning tidal. His knowledge isn't practical or realistic.

And it's funny how you all gloss over the fact that he downs other rappers while still bragging about material shyt. Real knowledge goes beyond money which is what he only cares about.

:deadmanny: Explain the difference between tricking bread and stunting?

Aside that even, JayZ used to advocate stunting, tricking and outright dropping money on broads. All of the above. Any non scrupulous way of blowing thru some money, I'm pretty sure he talked about it.

The nikka would even advocate it, then the very next line contradict himself "I take em out the hood, keep em looking good, but I don't fukking feed em"
:jbhmm: So he gets them up out the trap, keeps them fly but yet he not dropping a check on them broads? :jbhmm:

:pachaha:Y'all fukking rap fan nikkas be twisting shyt and rewriting history to serve your own agenda. shyt is hilarious and the mental gymnastics that shyt takes could easily be devoted to getting your own check. shyt is sad actually. I lurk in the Booth sometimes and you can just smell the broke nikka aura thru the keyboard
